Randstad Italia Inhouse Services is currently recruiting a Payload System Engineer, for an aerospace client based in Rome.



Responsabilità



The job holder  will be in charge to contribute to the activity within the frame of programmes and studies undertaken by the “uW Instrument, Data Handling and Transmission System” Unit.


 


In particular the Payload System Engineer, will be responsible for:



  • Support to HW units specification and technical management of related procurement 




  • Study/Understanding the design provided by AOCS/DHC Design Authority in order to develop a verification and testing approach




  • To develop and write test sequences for AOCS, DHC, FDIR aspects,




  • To execute the AOCS/DHC/FDIR test and to write the relevant Test Reports




  • Avionics V&V activity at Avionic Test Bench (ATB) level




  • To develop the Dynamics Simulation SW (DSS) for ATB and to execute the functional test on AVS Units





 



  • AVS special verification facilities Requirements Specification an procurement technical monitoring (e.g. STT EGSE and GNSS EGSE)

Also required is:



  • Knowledge of digital and RF electronic for data handling, processing and wide band communication.




  • Knowledge of electrical communication I/F and protocols 



    • Information theory




    • advanced coding and modulation (e.g. Turbo coding, SCCC and DVBS2)




    • Modelling/simulation of HPA non-linearity, and relevant compensation algorithm in DSP Domain for high order modulation scheme




    • Modelling/simulation of frequency response impairment (Flatness, Group delay variation) and relevant equalization technique/algo).




    • Modelling of atmosphere propagation effect (loss, de-polarization and cross-polarization effect)  




    • CCSDS protocols for space data link




    • Data compression technique/Algo






  • Knowledge of Matlab 




  • Programming language (e.g. C, Visual Basic)




  • MS Office products.





 


The ideal candidate has:


 



  • Master’s degree in Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering




  • Background in the field of communication systems, with focus on space applications




  • Knowledge of the English language for both written and verbal communication.




  • Attitude to teamwork.
