Randstad Italia spa, In-house division, is currently looking for a Mechanical CAD Desgigner for a customer company in the Aerospace Industry. The resource will join our client's Antenna Dpt.
The department in question is responsible for design, development, manufacturing, integration, test and deliveryof antennas and required mechanisms for spacecraft. The antennas can be designed for different missions:telecommunication, earth observation, navigation, science and exploration. and assist in designing power solutions for various space equipments.
This is a great opportunity for engineers with aeronautical and/or mechanical background skills.
Responsabilità
The mechanical CAD designer closely cooperaties with structural, thermal, radio frequency and technological engineer to provide the optimum mechanical solution and structure design to achieve the in orbit radiofrequency performance and stability along the satellite life, starting from on-ground integration and test up to satellite end of life.
In cooperation with experts of different disciplines the mechanical CAD designer:
- defines the concept and develops the needed details to cover all the required performance.
- manages the interfaces, the accommodation, the manufacturability and the testability.
- carries out, withing the Mechanical Dpt., the research and development activities necessary to improve the antenna performance or its competitiveness in the market.
The candidate will also have the opportunity to train on the job and to attend dedicated courses meant to develop the required skills.
The resource's key tasks will consist in:
- Mechanical requirement understanding
- Understanding of develop methods and processes
- Antenna accommodation on the spacecraft
- Antenna configuration trade-off
- Develop of detailed antenna CAD model
- Detailed parts design
- Generation of 2D parts drawings in CATIA
- Generation of 2D assembly drawings in CATIA
- Generation of required model for thermal and mechanical analyses inputs
Functie-eisen
The ideal candidate should have:
- High School Diploma (Aeronautical or mechanical specialization) preferred, Mechanical engineerin degree (or equivalent)
- Good knowledge and experience of 3D CAD tools (CATIA preferred) for Mechanical Design
- Knowledge of relevant drawing standards
- Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing best practice
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques (metals and composites) and how these affect design.
