“PAGES FROM MIND TRAVELLERS DIARIES” è il nome del Group Show che celebra il Decimo Anniversario della Dorothy Circus Gallery, un titolo che rispecchia la coerente identità e ideologia della Dorothy Circus.
Tutto ha inizio nel 2007 con l’idea di un viaggio intorno alle più remote strade del pop surrealismo, un viaggio colmo di sorprese e incontri significativi che hanno modellato l’identità della Galleria che in dieci anni ha portato sulla scena italiana più di 60 mostre tra personali e group shows e mostre istituzionali. Oggi, la Dorothy Circus vuole continuare ad esplorare, vagando come un circo, innalzando le sue tende ancora una volta ad un nuovo pubblico, per collezionare nuovi essenziali racconti per il suo diario di viaggio.
Il doppio Group Show, nell’autentico spirito del Journey, con opere inedite realizzate sul tema, rappresenta un modo di celebrare i traguardi della galleria e di annunciare il suo fantastico itinerario.
Con l’ambizione di condividere la sua identità e quella dei suoi artisti in tutto il mondo, e al tempo stesso assorbendo nuovi contesti culturali, la Galleria ha intrapreso lo scorso 12 Ottobre il suo viaggio intorno all’Europa atterrando in una nuova capitale: Londra.
Oggi per celebrare il forte legame con la sede italiana dedica, in esclusiva al suo pubblico Romano, un’ampia e ricercata esposizione che verrà presentata come un secondo capitolo di PAGES FROM MIND TRAVELLERS DIARIES, mostra di inaugurazione della sede londinese, che porterà in scena 24 artisti internazionali tra i più talentuosi e originali del panorama del figurativo contemporaneo. Tra gli artisti in mostra spiccano nomi celebri quali Miss Van, Gary Baseman, Sas Christian, Kris Lewis, accanto alle new entry Millo, Greg Craola Simkins, Amandine Urruty. Negli ultimi anni, anticipando le tendenze del mercato dell’arte mondiale, la Dorothy Circus Gallery ha giocato un importante ruolo presentando alcuni dei più promettenti artisti giapponesi quali Hikari Shimoda, Fuco Ueda, Naoto Hattori, Kazuki Takamatsu, Atzuko Goto, Ozabu. La scena artistica giapponese ha infatti influenzato e trasformato il panorama dell'arte contemporanea, attraverso la combinazione della sua affascinante tradizione artistica e culturale, e della rifinita e meticolosa ricerca di uno stile innovativo, sempre proiettato ad una tecnica estrema e al virtuosismo rivolto ad una profonda analisi dei temi sociali. In occasione del Capitolo II di Pages From Mind Travellers Diaries verrà presentato l’omonimo catalogo che racchiude tutte le opere della collezione creata sia dagli artisti in mostra nella sede di Londra sia dagli artisti in mostra nella sede di Roma. Fra questi non mancano le affascinanti recenti scoperte della Dorothy Circus Gallery tra cui il brasiliano Rafael Silveira, l’iraniana Afarin Sajedi, la coreana Kwon Kyungyup e molti altri viaggiatori del misterioso mondo della mente visionaria.

The group show PAGES FROM MIND TRAVELLERS’ DIARIES celebrates the 10th anniversary of Dorothy Circus Gallery and utterly reflects its intrinsic identity and ideology.
The journey towards the remotest spaces of Pop Surrealism is a journey full of surprises and significant meetings that shaped the identity of the Gallery since 2007. In ten years, Dorothy Circus Gallery brought to the Italian art scene more than 60 solo shows, group and museum’s exhibitions. Today, Dorothy Circus continues its exploration, wandering as a circus, and opens its curtains once again to a new public, collecting essential moments for its travel diary.
The double group show PAGES FROM MIND TRAVELLERS’ DIARIES (London and Rome), in the authentic spirit of the Journey, presents inedited artworks, executed on the theme of travel, and celebrates the gallery’s goal and remarkable itinerary.
With the aim of spreading its mission around the world, while absorbing new cultural contexts, the Gallery has started its journey across Europe, landing on a new capital, London, with the group exhibition opening on the 12th of October. In order to honour the close relationship with the Italian venue, the Gallery dedicates a wider exhibition exclusively to its Roman public.
The show will present the second chapter of the exhibition PAGES FROM MIND TRAVELLERS’ DIARIES, with 24 international artists among the most talented and original in the contemporary figurative art scene. The exhibition features already well-known artists, including Miss Van, Gary Baseman, Sas Christian, Kris Lewis, together with new emerging artists, such as Millo, Greg Craola Simkins, Amandine Urruty. Japan’s artistic scene influenced and transformed the contemporary art’s industry, through its fascinating artistic and cultural tradition, its refined and meticulous research of an innovative style, always projected towards a high-skilful technique and virtuosity, and its profound analysis of social matters.
The Roman event will present the homonymous exhibition catalogue “Pages from mind travellers’ Diaries”, containing works from all the artists on show in London and Rome. Among the most recent intriguing discoveries, the Brazilian artist Rafael Silveira, the Iranian Afarin Sajedi, the Korean Kwon Kyungyup and other travellers of the Gallery’s visionary mind.
