Sutton Chorale in concerto

The Sutton Chorale was formed in 2009 by Martin French (Director of Music), aided by Daniel Battle (former accompanist, currently Associate Organist at St Mary's Cathedral, Limerick, Ireland). Their current accompanist is Antony Matthews.
The choir was originally formed to help celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Minden, one of Sutton's twin towns in Germany, where it sang the Mozart Requiem and performed concerts with local choirs and orchestra. It has visited many other places, including Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Ireland, and has sung services in the British cathedrals of Southwark, Gloucester, Bury St. Edmunds, Guildford, Worcester, and Southwell Minster.
The choir aims to bring the best of English church music to congregations and concert audiences. Its membership is drawn from churches in Sutton and South London, and others who enjoy singing traditional church music in its proper setting.
